“Most successful men have not achieved their distinction by having some new talent or opportunity presented to them. They have developed the opportunity that was at hand.”

About Me
I joined UCSD as a PhD student in Fall 2010 in the Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering. I had graduated in May 2010 from Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, with a B.tech degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Currently I am working with Prof. Serge Belongie, Associate Professor, Dept. of Computer Science, UCSD, in the area of computer vision. My aim in life is to pursue an active research career focussing on problems that revolve around areas like machine learning, computer vision, signal processing, among others. I am particularly interested in utilizing academic research in vision to real-life applications. My current project called GROZI- aspires to introduce practical object recognition technology to assist Blind in grocery shopping.
